WE HAVE REACHED CAPACITY, AND REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. THERE WILL NOT BE ANY RACE DAY SIGN UPS.

Please note, the t-shirt order was placed two weeks prior to the event, so if you registered after that time we cannot guarantee your t-shirt size. If we run out of shirts, we will do a reorder after the race.

We expect to be at capacity before race weekend, so at this time there will not be on-site registration available for new entrants. Online registration is scheduled to close at 10 am on Saturday, August 6th, unless the race sells out prior.

We have done our best to keep the entry fee as reasonable as we can, based on all of the factors that go into putting on a high-quality race. The reality is that staging an event in a city requires much more planning, permitting, and staffing relative to suburban and rural venues. For the Urban Epic Boston we are providing the following to ensure a safe and enjoyable race:

25 State Troopers closing the road and offering on-water support

10 Mass Dept of Conservation Rangers, Crew, Lifeguards, and Supervisors

10 Medical staff

15 Highly trained event staff working 15-24 hours on race weekend

75+ volunteers and coordinators

Sustainability and waste management crew

Road closure starting at 5am

Vehicles being towed off the course starting at Midnight

500 cones and 4 miles of caution tape along the course

Parking, shuttles, beautiful venues, and simple logistics

As with all things, you get what you pay for. In the case of the Urban Epic Boston Triathlon, you get the opportunity to compete in a place that is unlike anywhere else. The experience you have will create memories that will last much longer than any t-shirt, water bottle, or race bag (you’ll get those too…).  And the time and money you save in not having to travel an hour or more out of the city will probably make up for the higher price point.

The Urban Epic Boston was recognized as one of the Best Races on Earth because of it’s commitment to sustainability (“green category”). So you can feel good about racing, knowing that your are not leaving much of a footprint behind.

Entry Refund Policy:
Because of the large costs associated with putting on the Urban Epic Boston, we cannot give refunds for this event. However, if you are registered and cannot race, you may be able to transfer your entry to another event or another participant. Please contact race management. There are no transfers of bib numbers without approval from race management. If you give your number to another athlete without permission, that athlete will be removed from the event and you could both be banned from future races.
